The time has come! Windows XP SP3 (service pack three) has recently been released. This can be downloaded from Microsofts’ website or from Windows Update. We do recommend that you choose to update from Windows Update, as the version from the website is much bigger and contains all the components for use on networked computers.

As we have heard before, the support lifetime for Windows XP has been extended by Microsoft - but in the last few days Microsoft has decided to extend the shelf lifetime of the product so that it can continue to be sold until June 2010, on cheap desktops.
